Help me help A Child's Notebook!

It is currently GiveBIG, a statewide campaign of giving for nonprofits. During this campaign, I am raising money to help A Child’s Notebook continue their important work in Laos, where they provide educational opportunities for children in a country where money and resources are scarce. I have served on the board of this non-profit for 2 years and have seen lives transformed by the education A Child’s Notebook makes possible. I got involved with the nonprofit because I truly believe education is the best path out of poverty. One program ACN has is to add or rebuild dormitories for schools. Many students who live far from their schools must live in unsafe dormitories or unenroll completely, especially girls. A Child’s Notebook partners with local villagers to build students a new, safer dormitory with a separate kitchen. While there are many programs A Child’s Notebook funds, something as simple as a safe place to sleep is a gift that so many of us, including me, have taken for granted. Any donation you can make will help our organization continue to make safe spaces for children pursuing an education. Donations made through the event, up to $5,000, will be matched by a generous donor.
