Healing requires community. This May, in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we invite you to join our community by supporting Plymouth Healing Communities’ Companionship Program.
Companionship is a model of walking alongside an individual experiencing complex life events, offering the gifts of time and presence. Most of our residents are affected by co-occurring mental health issues and chronic periods of homelessness. Through our Companionship Program, we seek to strengthen their stability and recovery.
PHC volunteer companions support and empower our residents by forming genuine relationships that promote positive connections to the greater community. From meeting with participants one-on-one for walks in the neighborhood or hosting gatherings at our housing properties, volunteers offer the gifts of time and presence to residents.
Give the Gift of Hope and Healing!
You are helping to change lives by being part of a strong community that believes in companionship and supportive housing for people with mental illness.
Thank you!
