Why This Medical Building Matters:

This #GivingTuesday, we’re asking for your support to help us build a medical facility that will transform the future for homeless cats in our community. At Furry Friends, we care for over 900 cats and kittens each year, and this new medical building is a critical part of our mission to reduce homelessness, improve health, and provide life-saving care. 

Here’s how it will make a difference:

🔹 Bringing Spay/Neuter Services In-House By building our own medical facility, we can provide essential spay/neuter surgeries on-site. This will allow us to offer more surgeries, drastically reduce our annual costs, and operate more sustainably, helping us save lives in the long term.

🔹 Launching a Community TNR Program We’re partnering with local trappers to start a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program for community cats. This effort will help curb the growing population of stray and feral cats, reducing the number of kittens born outside and helping create a healthier, more sustainable community.

🔹 Low-Cost Spay/Neuter for Seniors Our new building will also allow us to launch a low-cost spay/neuter program for seniors on limited incomes, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to keeping pets healthy and out of the shelter system.

🔹 Supporting Local Rescue Partners This facility will provide affordable, reliable spay/neuter services to other local rescue groups, strengthening our entire rescue community and helping even more cats find their forever homes.

This $500,000 medical building will make a lasting impact for the cats we care for—and for our entire community. With your help, we aim to raise $202,000 this #GivingTuesday to bring this vision to life, with a total need of $350,000 before we can officially break ground.
