In Guatemala, as in other countries, there are many dogs and cats that live on the street at least sometime during the day. Some of them were born on the street and survive like homeless animals. Others have a home, but the owners let them wander the streets during the day.

Various organizations have been formed in Guatemala, with the intention to change this. Some of them are in charge of implementing campaigns to neuter animals for free or at low cost. They also educate Guatemalans on the importance to neuter animals to avoid unwanted pregnancies (that many times result in abandoned animals). Other organizations rescue and shelter homeless animals. They need funds to pay for veterinary attention.

People Saving Animals is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization established in Washington State in 2013. We are 100% volunteer-based and our mission is to end animal homelessness and suffering.  We are unique in how we operate. We partner with properly established groups in Central America that have helped homeless animals for decades and we aid them with fundraising.   All of us have the same mission - end animal suffering.  And, with your support, we can help more homeless animals.

Our vision is a world without homeless animals, a world without animal cruelty, and a world where all humans realize how much better our lives would be if we respect animals and welcome their unconditional love.
