As a parent, you want your child to have every chance to be successful. And when your child has special needs, you have more challenges and barriers to overcome, particularly when it comes to their education.
As a beginning parent I never wanted anything bad to happen to my kids, but that is ultimately not realistic. I would much rather have a child that knows how to deal with difficult situations, get through it and learn from it. And that’s just a small part of what our child is learning at New Horizon.
The teachers and staff at New Horizon have given our child a chance to be the best version of himself. He’ll have to work hard to be sure, but he’s not alone. The communication, curriculum, and care he has received while there has been nothing short of amazing.
The world can be an uncertain and scary place for special needs children and their parents, which is why I am so thankful we found New Horizon. Put simply, it gives me great comfort knowing they are with us on this journey.
