Casa Latina is a non-profit organization that advances the power of Latinx immigrant workers through employment, education, and community organizing. Their programs combine direct services with community organizing. They support their members to participate fully in the democracy and economy of this country by providing workforce development training, education classes, and training to become key advocates in the community to build a more equitable future for all immigrants. 

I have been a Casa Latina volunteer for almost six years. Currently, I participate in their English as a Second Language (ESL) program.  This program provides English-language tutoring via one-on-one instruction, group classes, and remote learning.  Every day our members have to deal with work schedules, job details, transportation, paying bills, finding and keeping a place to live; all of which require the ability to communicate and the corresponding ability to understand that which is communicated to them.  Every day our students risk misunderstanding and embarrassment due to difficulties in communication. They are inspired to learn and appreciative of our help.  In turn, they inspire us.  We hope that you will be inspired to help Casa Latina and our members through your generous contributions.
