This video shows the expanse of historic structures FHS owns and maintains with donations and volunteers. Currently the Log Cabin, which was saved from being washed away by the White River in 1982, been given a new roof and some stabilization. The outdoor electric lines are being replaced with underground and up-to-code wiring.(Cost $16,000),  The steam donkey is to receive two new logs for its sled this month. Future plans include extending Ada walkways to near-by Buckley segment of the Foothills Trail.  Two buildings from the old Scott logging Camp at Lester, a steam donkey from the forest, a lookout from the Quinault area, a WW II spotter cabin, and the equipment from PSE blacksmith shop, various local farms and a 1947 Cat have been relocated to the park. It takes money to continue to keep these old structures in good repair. Any small donation will help. Our volunteers are generous with their time and skills.
