Sunshine for Success: Supporting Youth Development

Overview:

Join us in supporting the summer initiatives at New Futures and Education Center to empower youth and families in our community. With your generous donation, we aim to raise $50,000 to fund essential programs that will combat summer learning loss, foster positive relationships, and enhance community engagement. Your contribution will directly impact the lives of students and families by providing access to educational resources, youth development opportunities, and vital support services.

Out of School Summer Program

• Objective: 
• Target 70 elementary, middle, and high school students.
• Activities: 
• Academic Tutoring (Language Arts, Math, ELL Support), Youth Development (Leadership Opportunities, Community Service, Tutoring), Enrichment Activities (Arts, STEM Projects, Computer Coding, Field Trips).
• Impact: 
• Empower students with essential skills, foster leadership, and promote social-emotional learning.

Young Writers’ Workshop

• Objective: 
• Target 10-20 High School Students.
• Activities: 
• Intensive Creative Writing Program, Creation of "The Boot" Literary Magazine, Public Reading of Work, Publication of Mini Magazine.
• Impact: 
• Elevate student voices, promote creativity, and celebrate literary achievements.

Family Advocacy

• Objective: 
• Target 20 families.
• Services: 
• Rental Assistance Support, Energy Assistance, Interpreter and Translation Services, Community Workshops and Events, Basic Needs Development.
• Impact: 
• Provide essential support services to families in need, ensuring their stability and well-being.
