Help Nika Support ETS!

Hi, I'm Nika. I've been fortunate enough to have worked with ETS for a little over two years now, and I truly believe in the valuable work we are doing. As someone who comes from an immigrant family and has personally faced challenges related to poverty and addiction, harm reduction work holds a special place in my heart. I have the privilege of interacting with patients and clinic services staff on a daily basis, and it never fails to remind me of the importance and impact of ETS's work. Following the unfortunate flooding of our Seattle clinic earlier this year, our need for support is greater than ever.

During this campaign, I'm excited to connect with my communities and ask for your support for ETS. I'd love for you to join me from 5-7pm PST on 5/6 and 5/7, and 7-9pm PST on 5/8, as I stream art or games on my Twitch channel. I mainly focus on drawing landscapes and animals, and I'll be working on some commissions or playing games with friends. I also may do some sketches or paintings for donations. Evergreen Treatment Services strives to provide equitable, person-centered, and compassionate recovery support services to our neighbors across western Washington. Our substance use treatment, housing support, street-based outreach, harm reduction support, and more honor the dignity and autonomy of people recovering from addiction and those living outside. We believe that healing is possible when we respect everyone’s unique path to recovery and connect people with support that aligns with their goals. 

According to King County Medical Examiner's Office in 2023, 1,338 people died by overdose, a 30% increase since 2022. One in four of those died by overdose while living outside, in encampments, in their cars, or in emergency or temporary housing. None of them received the care they deserved in this lifetime. 

At ETS, we aim to support the healing of our neighbors and transform the systems that continue to harm them. In 2023, we helped more than 900 people take the courageous first step to begin their recovery journey in our clinics. We have also partnered with providers of community resources such as housing, healthcare, mental health treatment, and criminal justice programs to bridge their services with the people who need them. 

We served more than 10,000 people last year. This year, we aim to serve even more. Every person matters, and we're committed to ensuring that people have what they need to heal and lead safe and healthy lives.
