Support Thistle Theatre

Thistle Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit theatre performing puppet shows for Pacific Northwest families for over 30 years. The last few years have been particularly hard on our local arts communities. Many arts organizations that relied on live performances did not survive the pandemic. The loss was hard not only on artists, but the communities that relied on these organizations for arts and culture for many years. Thistle Theatre has been very lucky to survive.

Surviving has not been without its challenges. During the pandemic, Thistle Theatre went into hibernation. Just as Thistle prepared to come out of its hibernation, founder and artistic director, Jean Enticknap passed away. An interim Board of Directors was assembled and hired Gavin Cummins as the new Artistic/Executive Director.

The landscape has changed and Thistle is adapting to those changes. The goal has remained the same - to bring puppetry to our community.
