More than 10,000 school-aged kids visited the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery in the fall of 2023 to witness the miraculous migration of salmon. Friends of Issaquah Salmon Hatchery (FISH) provided more than 200 educational tours, STEM science camps & outreach events. All offering engaging ways to learn science in an outdoor classroom. To further these experiences FISH is producinging an immersive life cycle salmon kit to augment science and technology experiences through the remarkable migration of our local salmon. We are reaching out today to ask you to support FISH educational programming during this season of giving.
Across the country, schools are struggling to rebound from pandemic shutdowns. The Issaquah Salmon Hatchery also was closed for two years. FISH educational tours enrich learning opportunities for students and provide important lessons about climate change. Right now, we need your support for the Friends of Issaquah Salmon Hatchery youth programming and educational tools. Can we count on your donation to help us navigate the changing landscape and provide educational tours for underserved schools? We need your help to achieve our mission of protecting our salmon and ensuring their survival for future generations.
Your support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of children and educators, and you are choosing to make science educational enrichment a part of your life and valuing the experiences our programs give to schools.
