AFSeattle French-language Education & Scholarships

Thank you to all the donors who participated in our GiveBig campaign! Thanks to some last minute donations, we are excited to announce that we doubled our goal and raised a total of $9,565. We are amazed by our community and its generosity!

The Alliance Française de Seattle is dedicating its Scholarship Fund to beloved board member and friend Thierry Rautureau, who passed away in October 2023 and who was a fervent advocate of French bilingual education.

We extend our warmest THANK YOU to all the donors who are helping us launch the Thierry Rautureau Scholarship Fund.

WHO WE ARE

The Alliance Française de Seattle is one of the leading French language and cultural centers in the PNW, providing French-language classes for all ages and levels in person and online and a variety of cultural and arts events to represent and celebrate French-speaking cultures across the world with our local community. 

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit incorporated in the state of Washington, we collaborate with many local, regional, and international partners in the cultural, artistic, and educational fields. In a few numbers, we are:

• 25 teachers 
• 6 staff members 
• 925 members 
• The 4th Alliance Française in the US  in number of enrollments (out of 105 AFs!)  

OUR GOALS FOR GIVE BIG WA 2024

We strive to make a big impact with quality French-language classes, highly qualified teachers, offerings for all types of learners. We actively support our community with affordable cultural events, networking for Francophiles and Francophones, and scholarship opportunities.

Your support will directly impact our students and community with better access to foreign language education, additional scholarships for families in need of financial support, and by providing improved resources for our youth students.
