Mission

We are founded upon a very simple principle: A collective focus on the individual. Yellow Wood Academy welcomes students of all abilities and provides a safe learning environment for gifted, neurodivergent, and LGBTQ students. Every student receives a customized program, based on his or her strengths, interests, learning needs and goals for the future. At Yellow Wood we work to make all the difference in a student's journey.

Description

YWA is a community of curious, committed (and neurodivergent) teachers and learners. We are a nonprofit one-to-one and small group school. We provide a collaborative, accessible learning environment that uniquely engages each student, embraces their potential, and prepares them for their future. YWA provides students of all abilities the tools and encouragement to pursue their own personal journey, wherever it may lead. We provide a safe and welcoming environment for gifted, neurodivergent, and LGBTQ students. YWA offers options for students of all abilities. Whether a student is lightyears ahead or requires reading, writing, or math interventions, we will design a program that works for them so we can help them meet their goals and thrive.
