Washington State Concerns of Police Survivors

A nonprofit organization

Mission

Our officers served and died; we honor them by remembering them and offering peer support to their survivors. We are an all-volunteer non-profit: Honoring our Fallen | Supporting Their Survivors.

Description

Survivors include spouses, children, parents, siblings, significant others, grandparents, extended family members and co-workers of officers who have died in the line of duty according to Federal government criteria.

WAStateC.O.P.S. was founded in 1996 and is one of more than 50 chapters across the country of our national parent, Concerns of Police Survivors. We assist survivors as they rebuild their lives, regain self-confidence, and deal with their own specific grief issues.

Peer support includes local meetups as well as offering financial assistance for survivors to attend National Police Week as well as the healing hands-on-programs offered by our national parent.

We also provide training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educate the public of the need to support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.

There is no membership fee to 'join' C.O.P.S., for the price paid is already too high.
