The mission of Vashon Household is to develop and steward affordable housing for low- and moderate-income Island residents in partnership with our community and an integrated network of social support organizations.

Description

Vashon Household is a community-based non-profit organization located on Vashon Island, Washington. We protect the culture, character, and people of Vashon by providing and preserving affordable housing for those with modest incomes, enabling teachers, trades people, business owners, artists, seniors, and others to remain in their own community.

Since 1989 Vashon Household has built single-family homes for home ownership, provided rental assistance, renovated old apartments, and constructed new apartments, creating beautiful neighborhoods as well as housing opportunities. We have helped hundreds of Islanders remain in the community by providing affordable homes and apartments that preserve our environment and the integrity of our neighborhoods.

Our Vision: We are a diverse and inclusive community in which everyone has access to safe, secure and affordable housing where they can thrive and reach their fullest potential.
