SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve acquires and restores critical lands to permanently protect and steward dwindling wildlife habitat while engaging and educating all.

Description

Preservation
Your support helps provide resources and equipment to monitor the wildlife and plant populations that thrive here and forge new partnerships to expand the total number of protected acres! To date, SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve has placed over 100 acres surrounding Shadow Lake under permanent protection.

Restoration
Your support helps provide hand tools, work gloves, native plants, mulch, and other equipment, materials, and training resources to keep all of the habitats in our care healthy! Grassroots efforts drive SHADOW's restoration work and have powered our active restoration sites for over 25 years. Through Restoration Work Parties and stewardship events, community members participate in the care of SHADOW's natural resources.

Environmental Education
Your support helps provide educational materials, props, and resources to enhance our all-ages environmental education opportunities and make them inclusive and accessible to all! SHADOW offers a variety of educational experiences, including youth field trips and community classes and events for everyone.
