When Families Thrive, Students Thrive

At Readiness To Learn we support South Whidbey students and families and create opportunities for everyone to thrive.

Based at the South Whidbey Community Center, Readiness To Learn partners with schools, communities and families to ensure all students reach their potential. We provide family support, student support and connection to community resources. We respond and cater to the needs of students requiring assistance, providing vital resources and support.

Since its inception, Readiness To Learn has served thousands of students and families who have limited support due to the rural nature of Whidbey Island and the lack of local services.

Our primary objective is to create opportunities for students and families to thrive!

Last year Readiness To Learn provided support to 357 youth from 197 families!

99 unstably housed students were helped with basic needs and school readiness

204 students from 113 families received school supplies at no cost

We distributed warm coats and/or boots to 178 youth

305 children received from 165 families holiday gifts (provided by community

donations)

37 children participated in our Tutor Time and Lego League programming, 147 youth

attended SummerFun programming

100% graduation rate for the 16 unstably housed seniors registered at South Whidbey

High School. 85% of those students received direct support from the RTL academic

coach.
