Mission

The mission of the Renton Schools Foundation is to increase and enhance educational opportunities for all Renton School District (RSD) students by providing financial support through the fostering of community partnerships.

The foundation helps bridge the gap between inadequate state and federal funding and the cost of high-quality learning opportunities for every child, every day in every classroom.

Description

The Renton Schools Foundation, RSF, was originally established in 2009, to help cover the gap between local, state, and federal funding and the money necessary to fully fund high-quality learning opportunities for every child.

We cultivate school-parent-community partnerships by; Collaborating with RSD administration, teachers, and principals; PTA and parents; businesses; civic leaders; higher education institutions; professional education organizations; and other area education service organizations.

Our goal is to enhance opportunities for students across all 31 RSD schools. Your gifts will go directly to our fundraising focuses including:

Music: Large instrument purchases, sheet music, and more.

Drama: Supporting drama productions and purchasing theater licenses. This year, Dimmitt Middle School performed a choir and drama production. 

STEM: Purchasing 3D printers, supporting Tiffany Park Elementary school's LEGO robotics, and high school robotics.

Teacher Grants: For example, Kennydale Elementary School's Salmon Stream-to-Sea Program and Hazen STEM club's boat building project. 

Literacy: Digital library program myON- since the start of the this school year the RSD has read 21,343 books and spent 8,121 hours on myON.

We are committed to promoting quality education and opportunities for all K-12 students across the RSD. Your generous donations will support their growth in music, drama, STEM, and beyond, offering them valuable experiences and skills that will last a lifetime.
