Mission

We are a community of people who have experienced trauma and the results of trauma such as homelessness, addiction and other mental health challenges coming to know we are loved and that we have gifts to share. We provide ongoing recovery support to those seeking to transform their lives.

Description

Recovery Café is an alternative, therapeutic, supportive community founded on the truth that every human being is precious and worthy of love regardless of earlier trauma, mental and emotional anguish, and addictive behaviors. Since 2004, the Café's drug-and-alcohol-free space and loving community has anchored our Members in sustained recovery needed to gain and maintain access to housing, social and health services, healthy relationships, education, and employment. We are proud to be celebrating 20 years of hope and healing in 2024!

GiveBIG 2024 Campaign

People who come to Recovery Café have often experienced homelessness, substance use disorders, and mental health challenges. Circumstances such as COVID and the fentanyl crisis have had a significant impact on people's health and on our entire behavioral health system. That's why this year for GiveBIG we are directing funds to our health services.

We have created a "health hub" at our SODO Café, including our holistic recovery support model, our Health Center in partnership with Country Doctor, and our new partnership with the We Care Mobile Clinic to offer medication treatment for opioid use disorders. Our health care partners offer welcoming and affirming care and referrals for people who have often had negative experiences with health systems, or have lacked access to quality health care. These co-located services, combined with Recovery Café's model of holistic support along the recovery continuum, provide a foundation for many people on their recovery journey.

GiveBIG 2024 Match from a generous Recovery Café Board Member

We are excited to share that one of our wonderful Recovery Café  board members will be MATCHING UP TO $10,000 during GiveBIG 2024. This will help launch us to our overall goal of $20,000 to celebrate our 20 years of holistic recovery support services.
