Mission

Our mission is to create and support a healthy community. We mobilize the Plateau to address the critical issues of hunger, access to healthcare, mental health and student success.

RFWF - Who We Are & What We Do

For 40 years, we have partnered with caring individuals, community groups, and business leaders to make the Foothills Communities healthy and safe havens to live, work and play. The needs of our community change and so do the holistic solutions we offer. At RFWF, we continually monitor new and evolving needs and partner with community members to ensure each need is addressed in a sustainable way.

Below are the services and programs we currently offer, in conjunction with 100+ volunteers and partners:

Senior Hot Meals - Prepare and deliver over 100 meals (hot dinners with lunch for the next day) to seniors, veterans and disabled every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. These deliveries not only provide meals but also nourish souls with vital social interactions between our program team and the otherwise isolated seniors we serve.

Full Bellies - Free, hot meals served weekly to an average of 80 people. Guests are invited to dine together in a warm, safe space and are treated with respect, acceptance and dignity. Thursday evenings from 5:30-6:30pm at The Foundation.

Weekend Backpack Meals - Provides weekend meals for over 290 students each month attending Enumclaw schools whose nutritional needs may not be met at home during the weekend. Food bags include a minimum of 2 entrees, 2 breakfasts, 2 fruits and 2 snacks.

Care Van - A free lift-equipped transportation service for non-emergency, health related appointments including doctor, lab tests, physical therapy, dentist, chiropractor, prescription pick-up, and more. As the only cross-county transportation service in the area and providing more than 2,500 transports annually, this service is available weekdays from 9am-4pm.

In-school Mental Health Counseling - We provide students of the Enumclaw School District with in-school mental health counseling. Licensed mental health therapists serve students at ESD's middle and high school campuses. This free-of-charge counseling service is provided on campus during school hours to any student identified as having a need.

Headquartered in Enumclaw, RFWF is uniquely positioned to impact our community by providing critical direct services and convening and collaborating with donors, volunteers, clients, businesses, local government and faith and community leaders to identify and meet the needs of our most vulnerable citizens; and solve our community's toughest challenges.
