Mission

People for Animal Care & Kindness (P.A.C.K.) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the welfare of animals by providing funds for veterinary care, food and supplies to animals in need.

Additionally, PACK will support the work of other animal welfare non-profit organizations by providing financial and other assistance to further their impact and aid in their success.

Description

PACK continues to grow in our ability to respond to animals in need as well as our ability to engage the public in meaningful, charitable work. Our strength continues to be in the true sense of our name, the "People" devoted to animal care and kindness. We love to create powerful ripple effects, not just locally, but also outside our immediate area where it is afforded. To lessen the suffering of animals is a great undertaking, but we believe we are achieving that cause on so many levels. We recently began a new means of providing food and supplies to the animals in the community through in-the-field "Pay What You Can Food Pop-Ups". Biweekly, our volunteer team sets up food distribution stations in neighborhoods of highest need. As we grow more visible in the community, we are also able to respond to more animals' medical needs and work to help animals stay with their families. Our hope is to continue this growth, be able to provide more help as we grow, and ultimately demonstrate to those that follow our work what it means to exercise care and compassion toward animals. Lives are saved, minds are changed and we are part of building a movement toward more kindness of animals.
