Native Action Network's mission is to enhance the beauty, strength, and integrity of American Indian and Alaskan Native communities through personal empowerment and civic participation.
Native Action Network is a nonprofit organized to promote Native women's full representation, participation, and leadership in local, state, tribal, and national affairs. For more than twenty years, NAN has mobilized generations of Native leaders dedicated to serving their communities. By uplifting Native women's legacies and positive impacts of Native-led initiatives, we affirm Native identities and futures by advancing justice through community organization. NAN achieves this by hosting intergenerational leadership forums, youth academies, 10-month Legacy of Leadership cohorts, leadership luncheons, nonprofit capacity building workshops, as well as other community development and civic participation activities. Spanning across generations, Native Action Network creates vital connections by honoring our community's positive impacts and empowering the next generation to truly create the social and economic world they envision.
Native women matriarchs have always played an important role in the decision making processes that shape our future. Important decisions made about governance, economy, education and health must include the voices and influence of Native women. Together, with your support we can contribute to the lasting impacts of Native Action Network and generations of Native women leaders. We invite you to invest in Native women and their communities for a future we all deserve.
We recognize that gender is both fluid and expansive. Our goal is to create safe and brave spaces for all Native womxn, including those who identify as two-spirit, trans women, and genderqueer.

A special thank you to all the Native women who participate in our programs, and give generously of your time and energy as speakers, teachers, role models, listeners, and community advocates. We wouldn't be here without you!
