Description

RISE: Abuse and Trauma Recovery Program

Are you a survivor of abuse or trauma? You are not alone.

Rise is a trauma-informed, holistic approach to healing and building a new life and healthy relationships. Women of all ages participate in Rise and are given the time, space, resources, training, and support necessary to create thriving lives they love.

Through our support groups, workshops, and activities we explore topics that address the impact of abuse and trauma and the healing process. Topics include: identifying patterns of abuse, safety, God's design for healthy relationships, communication, emotional health, self-care, identity, trust, boundaries, positive parenting, purpose, and more.

Rise is a safe, affirming, and accountable community where God’s love is experienced in an atmosphere of grace. All participants receive encouragement and support from one another, the Rise staff, and volunteers during the twice a month community dinner and meeting.

Whether you experienced abuse recently or decades ago, we invite you to join other women at our Rise community meetings. To register or for more information contact info@lighthousenw.org.

Participants who utilize our community living service at Sacha’s House have a more structured program. In addition to the above services, they receive daily support from their care team (mentor, program manager, and life coach) and have access to additional critical services to assist with transitioning to sustainable independent living. For more information, contact us at 206-824-8581 or info@lighthousenw.org.

"This program is giving me structure and nurturing I never had growing up, but always longed for. This isn't just a shelter and some resources. It's an amazing, holistic approach to doing life together. It is everything I need to build a life that I didn't know how to do on my own. Every day is a good surprise. I find myself asking, is this real?! And then I realize it is!" explained a participant.

Only 1% of those experiencing domestic violence call professional services for help. Most people reach out to those already in their lives - friends, family, churches, organizations. To break the cycle of abuse, we want to equip the community with the knowledge and understanding to identify abuse and connect survivors to professional help through our Awareness and Action Program.
