Homeward Pet has welcomed hundreds of kittens, puppies, cats and dogs this past year, and anticipate that the need will only grow in the coming years.
These temporary guests come to us in all levels of condition and need on their way to a safe, caring home; fearful and reactive dogs; shy or spicy cats; bottle baby kittens; and rambunctious puppies.
Those in need of a spay or neuter, immunizations, vaccines and micro chips, as well as those that need a life-saving surgery, treatment for parvo, a veterinary specialist and months of recuperation.
At Homeward Pet, our guests get everything they need because of you. Everything they need to survive, thrive and find their way to a new home and a new family.
Mission
Homeward Pet's mission is to transform the lives of cats and dogs in need through compassionate medical care, positive behavior training, and successful adoption while building a more humane community.
Description
Your gift to Homeward Pet ensures homeless kittens, puppies, dogs and cats receive the time, love, socialization, enrichment, veterinary and behavioral care each one needs on their way to a new home. Through the generosity of our donors and community partners; together we find homes for more than 1,500 animals each year.
The story of your impact is so much greater when you consider:
- More than 65% of dogs and cats arriving at Homeward Pet each year come from shelters across the state in need of space for new arrivals from their community.
- More than 1,000 families from across the Puget sound receive pet food and pet care supplies each week through one of our 15 Homeward Pet foodbank area partners.
- More than 200 low-income families receive low-cost or free spay & neuter services each year for their pets making access to care possible.
- Each year nearly 10% of the pets we serve arrive with extra medical or behavioral needs and go on to find their new home as a result of the specialized care they receive.
Your compassionate one-time or budget friendly gift is needed by pets arriving at Homeward Pet today. We hope you will join us and make a life-saving difference for the homeless cats and dogs in our care.
