Mission

Our mission at Fuse is to achieve progress through government by the people and for the people in Washington state. We give ordinary people a strong voice in our democracy and help progressives achieve policy reforms that build thriving communities and a more just society. We combine technology and innovation with grassroots organizing and communications to drive forward progress in Washington state.

Description

Fuse adds more people and better storytelling and communications to the most important issue campaigns in our state. Our top campaigns include increasing affordable housing, fighting climate change, improving access to voting, and balancing our state's upside-down tax code.

In order to win on these important issues, Fuse focuses on long-term civic engagement in communities across our state while holding those in power accountable. We mobilize grassroots activists online and offline, building groups of volunteers in key areas across the state. Every year, our Civic Voices Fellowship empowers young leaders to engage their communities in issue advocacy and the political process. We elevate local voices through community-based organizing, relationship building, voter registration, and adding communications capacity to the most important progressive issues. Fuse specializes in generating game changing media to deliver effective messages to decision makers and the public. In addition, we share lessons-learned from our projects and conduct trainings with partner organizations and community leaders to increase the effectiveness of the progressive community in Washington.
