Mission
We Prove Parents With The Skills, Tools, And Resources To Support Their Children’s Early Education And Beyond.
Description
Based in south king county, FFYB is actively contributing to closing the education and opportunity inequities for families of
children further away from educational justice.
At FFYB, we envision a world where parents are confident and have the tools to advocate for their children.
Our Values
Racal equity, Transparency, collaboration, honoring community culture, cultivating long-term relationships, holistic well-being of the
family, growth of children, and families.
We are culturally responsive, meaning we have a deep understanding of the community we serve. Our staff and leadership team heavily reflect and share the culture and language of the families.
Our expanded learning program is a free program that serves African immigrants, and African American youth in South King County. The goal of this program is to create a safe, positive, enriching experience for children in the hours after school, to promote health/wellness, build social-emotional and academic skills, inspire a sense of belonging and relationship-building to reflect the values and diversity of the youth we serve while taking into account their interests.
As it is a culture of our program to take into account the interest of youth and add their voice to programming, we heard back from youth on some activities they would like to participate in which includes learning to play musical instruments.
Will you invest in the dreams and future of our youth? No amount is too small, please donate today!
