Three Ways to Support

Make sure to select a "Designation" during checkout.

General Fund: These funds go to support our operations that each year run nine choirs for over 300 singers, multiple outreach programs in local elementary schools, diverse concerts for the public, and more. Next year, we plan to provide even more outreach programs to make sure that anyone that wants to sing is able to find themselves in choir.

Steve Stevens Musical Excellence Fund: These funds empower our choirs to purchase and perform new music and materials that enrich the choral experience. Next season, we plan on commissioning multiple choral works for our ensembles and hosting a residency with a guest artist focused on exploring music from historically marginalized communities.

The Singer’s Fund: These funds play a vital role in ensuring that singers of all ages can participate in our programs, regardless of their financial circumstances. Your generous donations will support our growing financial aid program that this year has already awarded over $18,000 in partial and full financial assistance for singers across all of our programs.

Columbia Choirs Impact Story

Heather Keyser

I was in Columbia Choirs from 2008–18, starting in Melodia all the way to Cantabile. Singing with Columbia Choirs was my favorite thing that I was involved with. The people I met there have become my friends for life. Over the 10 years we sang together we became inseparable and enjoyed the yearly choir retreats and loved traveling the world together. Even though all of us have been at different colleges across the world we all get together when we are back in Washington.

When I was applying to colleges, I applied to a lot of choral scholarships at many different schools but ended up choosing the Cutler-Sametz Choral Scholarship from Lehigh University and am now a senior majoring in Accounting.

I sing in the University Choir and Dolce, the women's choir and am also a part of the The Lehigh University Melismatics, which is the oldest co-ed A cappella group on campus. I have been with “Mels” my junior and senior year, and we have competed in the International Championship of Collegiate A cappella (ICCAs) put on by Varsity Vocals for the last decade (the same competition in Pitch Perfect). This past weekend we placed 3rd in the Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinals with our set. Mels is easily one of my favorite groups I am involved with at Lehigh. It is so fun to sing with a bunch of talented and fun people who love music as much as I do! Thank you Columbia Choirs for setting me on this path!
