Climate Solutions' mission is to accelerate clean energy solutions to the climate crisis. To achieve this ambitious mission, we champion transformational policies and market-based innovations; catalyze powerful partnerships and a diverse movement for action and accountability; and communicate a bold vision for solutions at the scale required by climate science.

Climate Solutions' vision is a thriving, equitable Northwest, powered by clean energy, inspiring the transition to sustainable prosperity across the nation and beyond. Working with a robust community of partner organizations in various sectors, we provide strategic leadership, policy expertise, field organizing, business engagement, communications, media outreach, research, administration, and fundraising support for many of the Pacific Northwest's top climate campaigns.

Creating brighter tomorrows 

Climate Solutions' work has always been driven by our vision of a clean energy future and our belief that we can accelerate transformative solutions to the climate crisis. Through our collaboration and partnerships with diverse communities and coalitions, we’ve always evolved to meet the opportunity and crisis. And all along, we’ve worked toward creating brighter tomorrows. 

Climate Solutions’ supporters have always been the heartbeat of our organization and have driven our perseverance and determination. GiveBIG brings a unique opportunity to celebrate the many accomplishments made possible by our work together: 

• Our region is on rapid path toward clean energy, including 100% clean electricity commitments from both Washington and Oregon. 
• A growing list of state and local jurisdictions are acting to transition away from gas for heating and cooling our buildings—the fastest growing source of climate pollution in the region.
• Washington is now the second state to enact an economy-wide cap on carbon pollution and to drive billions of dollars in investments in solutions through implementing our landmark law, the Climate Commitment Act. 
• Oregon and Washington have two of the strongest clean fuels program in the country, and we’ve secured other policies that will reduce pollution from cars, trucks, vans, and buses. 
• After 25+ years of advocacy from Climate Solutions and a range of community partners, our region is now perhaps the single best place in the nation for making real the vision of rapidly cutting climate pollution, addressing environmental justice, and growing jobs that lead to concrete improvements in people’s lives. 

What does a brighter tomorrow look like?

• Good family wage jobs in our local communities are available to everyone. 
• The buildings where we live, work, play, and learn are powered by clean electricity instead of fossil gas. 
• Everyone has access to affordable electric vehicles and electric mobility options. 
• We have more home-grown clean energy, like wind and solar. 
• There are accessible and affordable transit options for all, especially for those who rely on them the most. 
• Research and development to accelerate newly emerging technologies is abundant. 
• We all hear stories about how the transition to clean energy is coming soon to everyone’s communities, and that the transition is affordable and accessible for all. 
• We see real and noticeable health and economic benefits, especially for people of color, and low income and rural communities. 
• Clean, electric vehicles replace dirty diesel buses and trucks, especially in communities with the worst air quality.
