Mission

ACA provides breakthroughs for children with autism and their communities in Ghana and Nigeria.

There is a significant lack of services available for children with autism in West Africa. Many children are kicked out of school, kept at home and in extreme conditions are sent away or their lives are terminated. We are working to combat this through awareness raising & advocacy, as well as providing direct services.

Autism Compassion Africa is a Seattle based NGO that conducts advocacy and awareness-raising for children with autism living in West Africa, specifically in Ghana and Nigeria. 

At ACA, we make a strong effort to engage members of the community in awareness raising activities to break down stigma about autism and provide education around early signs and resources available for families.

We fundraise each year at GiveBIG to bring in the funds needed to make our impact for the children and families that we reach with our programming. Our goal of $20,000 will support our work throughout the coming year as we continue to reach out into the community and work to destigmatise autism, support parents, educators, and children to live their best possible life.
