Description

Since 1989, Attain Housing has provided transitional housing, case management, and supportive services to homeless and at-risk families in King County. We help families with children move forward from homelessness to stability.

Our Programs

Transitional Housing

We provide family-centered housing and services to King County residents who are experiencing homelessness. While meeting their critical needs for housing and services, we assists families as they work to transform their lives. Our 37 housing units are located in Kirkland and Bellevue.

We work with families in crisis to stabilize their situation. At the heart of our Transitional Housing program is case management, a structured program in which participants regularly meet with our trained case managers to establish and work toward their individualized goals. As families achieve their goals, including gaining employment skills, improving credit, or furthering their education, they interrupt the cycle of homelessness by building the strength to return to self-determination and self-sufficiency.

Stable Home

Our Stable Home rent assistance program provides eviction prevention services to keep families their existing housing and save them from the trauma of homelessness. When a family is evicted, the process - both legally and personally - can take time away from attending school or work. Income is lost for the time spent out of work dealing with an eviction, putting families even deeper in the hole financially and even risking their jobs altogether. It's a cascade of negative impacts that compound but if that cascade of instability is halted by investing in preventing the eviction altogether, the saved costs add up to a greater social benefit.
