Ashley House provides comprehensive, cost effective, quality care to medically fragile children, teens and young adults in home-like settings. We are dedicated to providing education to families and care givers, building support systems, coordinating services and nurturing the development of each individual.

Compassionate staff provide the best care for very deserving and inspiring kids, teens and young adults at our four pediatric group homes and our young adult home. Many of the things that make Ashley House NW special are only possible thanks to contributions from foundations, businesses, and individuals like you.

"Having a baby is supposed to be a joyful experience. But our joy quickly turned to fear after our daughter was born, when we learned that Anna had cystic fibrosis. She was also diagnosed with short bowel syndrome. She spent a long time in the hospital. When they discharged her, Anna was still getting her food through an I.V. line that went through her chest into her heart. The thought of taking her home was terrifying. All I could think of was what could go wrong. Fortunately, we were able to turn to Ashley House. Anna stayed there for a few weeks, getting professional, high quality care, while we learned more about caring for her. We felt safe and ready when it was finally time to take her home!"

A sick child may spend weeks, even months, in the hospital. But what happens when they leave the hospital? After weeks of highly trained staff caring for a child, parents are suddenly faced with the need to provide care 24/7 for a child who still needs a high level of intervention. It is tough to face on your own. 30 years ago we recognized the need high quality care for kids who no longer needed to be in the hospital--but were not ready to go home; care that would give kids the best possible chance to live a normal life, while providing families with the support they needed. Ashley House has grown to five homes in the Puget Sound, providing compassionate care for over 800 children, youth and young adults from throughout the region.

Each year Ashley House NW provides over $250,000 of uncompensated care. Your contributions help cover the costs for those who otherwise could not afford care for their child. They also help meet the special needs of all our children and young adults. Thank you for your support!
