Our mission is to help connect orphans to safe and loving families in their home countries.

Description

At A Family for Every Orphan, we believe children belong in families. Many orphanages provide for the physical needs of children, yet they are left unequipped emotionally, spiritually, socially and mentally to thrive in life outside the orphanage. Although some institutions are well-resourced with dedicated staff, they cannot replace a family.

A cultural shift from orphanages to family-based care is vital to the future of millions of orphaned and vulnerable children. A Family for Every Orphan (AFFEO) provides funding, program strategy assistance, project development, and fiscal accountability for national teams from nine countries. The nine countries we work with are Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Kyrgyzstan, Paraguay, Romania, Russia, Uganda, and Ukraine.
