MISSION

The Tacoma-Pierce County Affordable Housing Consortium (AHC) is effecting change through community education, advocacy, and the provision of resources to advance the development and preservation of housing that is affordable, attainable, and free of discrimination. We believe everyone deserves a place to call home.

ABOUT US

AHC is improving the environment for low-income housing production by enhancing the capacity of affordable housing developers; supporting affordable housing policies and laws; advocating for funding to develop more affordable housing; providing an information network for the affordable housing community; educating the public about affordable housing issues; and, undoing the effects in the housing markets of long-standing racially exclusionary policies and practices and creating equitable opportunities for all to have decent and affordable housing and asset building through homeownership.

Your contributions make it possible for us to provide services such as:

- Advocacy for affordable housing policies and laws, funding to develop more affordable housing, and undoing the effects in the housing markets of long-standing racially exclusionary policies and practices

- Providing public education about the need for affordable housing, as well as the health and safety benefits it provides to our communities

- Building capacity for affordable housing developers through one-on-one guidance, training, resources, professional connections, and advocating for the development of their housing projects

Together with our membership, we are supporting low-income families through the building and financing of affordable homes.
