• connected thousands of people with the land
Core Values
To accomplish our work Skagit Land Trust works in a manner that reflects fundamental shared values. We believe in:
Sound Ecosystems. The basis for all our conservation work begins with the understanding that a high quality of life requires diverse and resilient ecosystems.
Sustainable Stewardship. We strive to be good land stewards committed to the long-term sustainability of native species and natural ecological processes.
Engaged Volunteers. Only with the passionate and dedicated efforts of volunteers at all levels of our organization will we be able to fully accomplish our goals.
Involved Members and Community. We value our members’ ideas and support and strive to keep all members engaged and our greater community informed and involved.
Effective Collaboration. We recognize that the best conservation is accomplished by working with a diverse array of people, communities and organizations towards common goal
Integrity. We adhere to the highest ethical standards in carrying out our mission, strive for transparency in our operations and accept full accountability for the decisions we make.
On Giving Tuesday our community will be coming together to unleash the power of personal generosity to make a difference locally. We hope you will join us. These days it is more crucial than ever to come together to support the lands we all love.
Your gift during Giving Tuesday will also go twice as far! A generous group of members have provided a $30,000 MATCH for all gifts that come in during Giving Tuesday.
When you make a gift during Giving Tuesday, you are providing the trees and plants needed to restore a property. You are creating the signs that allow visitors of all ages and multiple languages to learn more about these precious places. You are forging the trail, and ensuring woods around it will remain for generations of people and wildlife. You are protecting the Skagit River for all five species of salmon.
Your donation to Skagit Land Trust connects you with more than a thousand other members of this community, working together to make a positive impact on the nature of Skagit. Thank you.
Thank you to the members, partners, and volunteers who have supported Skagit Land Trust and local land conservation for more than 30 years!
