Description

At Seattle JazzED, our goal is for every student to experience the life-changing magic of creativity, courage, and compassion that comes from a dedicated education in jazz – a quintessentially Black American art form.

We welcome students in grades 4–12 at all skill levels. Whether it’s playing or singing in an ensemble, diving into a one-day workshop, or spending a week sharpening your skills in the summer, there’s a place for everyone at JazzED.

You might know us through our standout programs like the Femme Ellington Project, Seattle's premier all-city girls' jazz band, or the Summer Jazz Ambassadors, where students grow as performers and mentors in a dynamic, gigging ensemble.

Or maybe you’re just hearing about us for the first time. That’s great too—welcome!

Here’s what matters: Any student can start their musical journey at Seattle JazzED and grow with us all the way through high school graduation. We’ll be with them every step of the way.

At JazzED, tuition is never a barrier. Every family chooses the payment level that works for them. We offer flexible payment plans and full waivers; no questions asked. This is possible because our community steps up: families pay what they can, and donors give what they can.

🎷 This GiveBIG, help us raise $10,000 to keep Jazz Lab thriving! It's a program where students take their skills to the next level—learning how to play in an ensemble, improvise, and build confidence alongside their peers. But it takes real resources to keep the music playing.

Give today to ensure that every student, regardless of background, has the chance to belong, grow, and shine through jazz.
