Seattle Documentary Association cultivates and supports an equitable and professional community of nonfiction storytellers.
Education - Collaboration - Community
Those foundational principles constitute the essence of our mission. SeaDoc, led entirely by volunteers, is committed to cultivating the art of non-fiction storytelling through a diverse array of year-round programming and events. With your generous backing, SeaDoc's initiatives thrive, encompassing Work-in-Progress screenings, insightful panel discussions, engaging social gatherings, and an exclusive cohort program tailored for directors, producers, and editors.
More than a decade ago, the Seattle Documentary Association (SeaDoc) was founded by a dedicated collective of independent documentary filmmakers who shared a common objective: to create a platform for both emerging and established documentary filmmakers from the Pacific Northwest.
Your support of SeaDoc translates into a direct and meaningful contribution to the dynamic documentary community in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Your donation ensures the continuity of our mission. Our organization provides documentary filmmakers essential resources, support, and networking opportunities.
Seattle Documentary Association is fortunate to have an exceptional Board of Directors who are deeply committed to promoting the art of non-fiction storytelling. We are grateful for the contributions of Misael Martinez, Ali Scattergood, Sandy Jeglum, Celine Francois, Andrew Burton, Jaelynn Grisso, Annette Frahm, Jessie Lenderman, JJ Gerber, and Ian Bell. Each member brings a unique perspective and skillset to the organization.
Their leadership has been instrumental in guiding Seattle Documentary Association's mission and ensuring that it continues to provide valuable programming and opportunities for documentary filmmakers in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We appreciate their dedication and look forward to the organization's continued success under their guidance.
