Renton Rowing Center

A nonprofit organization

The Renton Rowing Center encourages people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to discover community on and off the water. Created in 2014 with the help of the George Pocock Rowing Foundation, RRC is Renton's community boathouse.

At RRC, we believe that everyone should have access to participate in the great sport of rowing at the level that is most beneficial to them. We strive for every member of our community to develop a love of rowing, lifelong physical activity, and commitment to health. We believe that rowing offers an experience in which people can develop fundamental life skills in teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and self-discipline.

Anyone who wants to row should be able to do so, regardless of background or economic status. We recognize that rowing is a sport that has historically excluded many marginalized groups, and RRC is committed to creating opportunities in which people of all backgrounds and identities have the opportunity to safely participate fully in all that rowing has to offer.
