PATH

A nonprofit organization

Mission

PATH is a global nonprofit that makes health care more accessible for everyone, everywhere, by creating affordable health products and strengthening health services. Advances in medicine and science have made long healthy lives possible—but not for everyone. We focus on communities that still don't have the chance at health we all deserve.

Description

Everyone deserves a healthy life, but too often, high costs and long distances keep people from care. PATH, a Seattle-based nonprofit, creates affordable health products and strengthens health services in 70+ countries and right here in Washington State.

Since 1977, we’ve paved the way to better health with impactful innovations like the world’s first malaria vaccine, a balloon device that stops severe bleeding after childbirth, and a special cup for nourishing newborns who are unable to breastfeed.

But right now, reductions in foreign aid are disrupting many of our lifesaving programs—especially those that provide services to vulnerable communities like Ukrainian health workers and teen girls in Kenya. To learn more about work and how you can help, visit  path.org.

During GiveBIG, gifts to PATH are matched up to $10k by John and Deanna Oppenheimer.
