OSL Serves

OSL, a nonprofit, is in our 36th year serving nutritionally dense, culturally appropriate, and medically sensitive meals to people experiencing homelessness and hunger in the community.   Considered a “first responder” for the emergency food system in the Greater Seattle area, OSL serves more than 6800 meals daily, providing breakfast, lunch and dinner to 69 programs; including, but not limited to: shelters and transitional shelter programs, permanent housing support, youth and children’s programs, homeless veteran programs, City sanctioned encampments and tiny house villages, the no-barrier OPEN MEAL SITE, senior adult programs, day programs needing nutritional support, and several others.  

OSL also supports the greater emergency meal and human services system through our Food In Motion program by providing transportation and product, and by delivering much needed meal and sanitation resources, to other Seattle and King County-based agencies.  Every organization in the emergency meal system works daily to keep the food on the table and is essential to the health of so many in the local community.
