Mission

The Normandy Park Police Foundation is an independent community-based, not for profit organization supporting efforts that enhance our Normandy Park Police Department, Community Alliances, Crime Prevention and Public Safety.

Description

Normandy Park Police Department was established on June 8, 1953. The Normandy Park Police Foundation was established on May 13, 2019.

Some of the NPPF events: "Coffee with a Cop" is community outreach event and has been well attended by our citizens in the past. It provides an opportunity for residents to talk to their local police and ask questions and bring up concerns.

Each year the Normandy Park Police Foundation sponsors and participates in the Shop with a Cop Program. This is an event that provides a positive interaction between underprivileged students, their families and law enforcement in not only Normandy Park but in surrounding areas as well. Students in need in our neighborhood are able to purchase small gifts for members of their household for the holidays. They also receive a small gift for themselves and one personal item, such as a winter coat, pair of shoes or toiletry bag.

The foundation sponsored Disaster Skills Training event that was well received and was standing room only. Many residents who were unable to attend have asked that another one be hosted when large groups are allowed.

In Addition, your donations help our officers to attend seminars and training that will add to their skills and knowledge and allow them to provide the best possible service to the community!
