Newcastle Arts Council

Newcastle Arts Council is focused on Making the Arts Come Alive in Newcastle.  We exist to promote, support, and encourage the arts in the local Newcastle area.   We do this through:

1. Monthly arts related classes and activities in partnership with the KCLS and the Newcastle Library.
2. Two annual art shows showcasing our local artists.  One focused on youth artists while the other on adult artists.
3. Art activities at City of Newcastle sponsored events and activities including Newcastle Days and summer concerts. 
4. An art fair with local artists being able to sell their creations along with live music.
5. Coordination of community art projects and installations in and around Newcastle.
6. Maintenance of a poetry wall at Lake Boren Park and a free little art gallery at Newcastle City Hall.
7. Organizing an outdoor winter holiday concert with students from our local schools.
