Mission

Music4Life provides donated and repaired musical instruments at no charge for use by the public school students of families in-need.

Description

Research shows that having access to instrumental music helps students do better in science, math, history, international languages and other scholastic disciplines.  Roughly 40 percent of public school students are from low income families.  The single greatest barrier to music education for a low income family is acquiring a musical instrument.  Starting with fourth and fifth graders, Music4Life acquires musical instruments from adults who no longer use them and gets them fully repaired and ready-to-play.   We then provide them free of charge to our 11 participating Puget Sound-area public school districts.
