Magpie Artists' Ensemble

Magpie Artists’ Ensemble is a collective of Queer artists who are passionate about collaboration, representation, accessibility, and creative storytelling.

Mission | Our artistic mission is to push the boundaries of print and performance mediums, bringing diverse stories to life in exciting and accessible ways.

Vision | Magpie is building a community of intersectional Queer artists and audiences, connecting them across all barriers. We give Queer stories a voice, and create opportunities to be seen for those who haven't heard their own stories told before.

Campaign Goal | Our GiveBIG campaign goal of $2,500 will cover our entire "wishlist" for new and upgraded film equipment - everything from new microphones for musicals to a 360 camera to capture our unique performance art pieces. This equipment is integral to our commitment to making art - and theatre in particular - accessible. By creating high quality recordings of our performances, we're able to share them with audiences that may not have access to our work otherwise - whether because of time, location, or any other factor. 
The team at Magpie believes that "proshots" are the way of the future for live theatre, and will help instill a love of the performing arts in the next generation of audiences and artists. Thank you in advance for supporting our vision - every dollar helps!
