Mission

The Lopez Island Family Resource Center provides resources and guidance necessary to meet the basic needs of the entire community. Building on this foundation of well-being, we also provide educational and community engagement programs and we advocate for a more just and equitable community.

We envision the Lopez community as a family in which each person enjoys a positive, meaningful quality of life, knowing our own and our neighbors' basic needs are being met.

Description

The Lopez Island Family Resource Center is a mission-driven, value-led, diverse team of staff, volunteers, donors, community partners, neighbors, and families working together to assure that the basic needs are met for of the entire community at all stages of life, youth learning and engagement programs are offered, and community members are empowered to cultivate a more resilient Lopez.

We form meaningful relationships that guide community-defined goals for a lasting impact on policy, well-being and opportunity. Through collaborative leadership, inclusive engagement, strategic programs and continuous learning, we envision a future where every member of the Lopez community enjoys a positive, meaningful quality of life, knowing their needs are met, they belong here, and their ideas are shaping the future.
