About Listen and Talk:

Listen and Talk is a Kirkland, WA-based nonprofit organization providing specialized listening and spoken language programs to deaf and hard of hearing children from birth through school-age.  We serve over 200 families and their children a year who reside in the greater Puget Sound region in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties with more families being served through virtual services statewide. 

Mission and Vision Statement: 

Listen and Talk teaches children with hearing loss to communicate and learn through listening and spoken language. No child is limited by hearing loss.

Programs and Services Offered:

• Audiology (for all enrolled children)
• Birth to Three (early intervention program for deaf/hard of hearing infantsand toddlers ages 0-3 and their families)
• Blended Classrooom Program (preschool for children ages 3-5)
• Listening and Spoken Language Therapy 
• Itinerant/Outreach Services

GiveBIG 2024 Fundraising Goal: 

As a nonprofit organization, this year's campaign gives us an opportunity to step back and take a closer look at what we need to support our programs. While all of our programs rely on your generosity, our #GiveBIG2024 goal is to fundraise $16,000 dollars between May 7-8, 2024 to support the purchase of a portable clinical audiometer system that will benefit our entire team! We have an in-house sound booth that our audiologist Christie Rexroth currently uses to monitor our students' speech understanding and hearing levels. However, by us purchasing a portable system, it'll allow our team to have greater flexibility in working with all of our students on-site and off-site across the Puget Sound
