LifeWire is a leading provider of shelter and services for survivors of domestic violence in Washington State. Since our founding in 1982, we have reached over 176,000 survivors with safety, stability, and healing. In 2024 alone, we supported nearly 7,000 survivors across nine counties in beginning safer, brighter chapters. We are committed to changing social norms through free prevention trainings for organizations ready to make a difference.
Your partnership and support are more than ever before. Nearly 50% of all crimes against persons in Washington State involve domestic violence, and it remains the leading cause of homelessness for women with children. Through your donations, we can help even more survivors and their children find hope.

Survivor-Driven Advocacy Services
We listen to each survivor and partner on their journey, tailoring our support to reflect their unique histories, challenges, and personal goals. In 2024, Advocacy Services included our helpline, mental health therapy, children and youth services, and legal advocacy. Our mobile advocate, prepared to meet survivors where they are with the critical resources they need, covered nine counties last year.

Homelessness & Housing Stability Services
No survivor should have to choose between staying in an abusive relationship and becoming homeless. As a Housing First organization, we know that if survivors can obtain safe and stable housing quickly, they can address needs and reduce trauma. In 2024, Homelessness and Housing Stability Services included emergency shelter, transitional shelter, hotel vouchers, flexible funds, rapid rehousing, eviction prevention, and rental assistance.
