What We Do

The League of Women Voters has been making democracy work for over 100 years. In Washington state our work includes:

• Local and Statewide

  • Ballot measure Forums / positions
• Written materials (nonpartisan and multilingual):
  • Election materials
  • Voting and election process trainings and explanations
  • High school and middle school civics texts: The State We’re In

✔ Defending Democracy

• Voter registration:
  • Provide access to voter registration
  • Protect every eligible citizen’s participation in the electoral process
• Election Security:
  • Combat misinformation 
  • Share accurate information about elections
• Observer Corps volunteers:
  • Ensure laws are carried out and implemented
  • Hold all levels of government to transparency and accountability
