Mission

Jubilee's mission is to support women on their journey toward building stable and fulfilling futures, one extraordinary woman at a time. Led by the guiding principle that women of all races and cultures are to be treated with respect and dignity, Jubilee provides programs and services that empower women to make positive life changes.

Description

For the past 40 years, Jubilee Women’s Center has been providing safe community housing and essential needs to female identifying individuals experiencing homelessness due to domestic violence, physical and mental health challenges, substance use, lack of affordable housing, a shortage of living wage employment, or any number of unforeseen circumstances. With assistance from a care coordinator and wellness coordinator, participants work to identify their individual strengths, set goals that move them toward self-sufficiency, and learn healthy coping skills that help them process their past.  Our goal is for all participants to leave Jubilee with a sense of empowerment and trust in themselves.

Jubilee offers safe and affordable housing, essential needs, and skill development opportunities to women at risk of or experiencing homelessness who are:

  • Age 25 – 65 and being released from incarceration, survivors' domestic violence, or are experiencing unsuitable living conditions such as an emergency shelter, vehicle, or the streets.
  • Veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
  • Transitional youth aged 18-25 being released from a juvenile detention center or aging out of the foster-care system.
  • Non-traditional students aged 26 or older enrolled in a post-secondary vocational training program or educational institute whose housing insecurity puts them at risk for not completing their education.

In addition, Jubilee is a cornerstone resource for over 2,000 low-income women who utilize donation driven clothing boutique and our safe on-site computer lab.

Jubilee is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  Our work is able to continue due to our steadfast community of supporters. All donations, no matter the amount, aide us in progressing our program to better meet the needs of the women we serve. We are incredibly grateful to all of our donors and their dedication to support extraordinary women on their journey toward self-sufficiency and stability.
