Who We Are
yəhaw̓ Indigenous Creatives Collective is an urban Native, Queer and women-led arts nonprofit rematriating 1.5 acres of land on Coast Salish territories. Our collective comprises a continually evolving network of hundreds of Indigenous kin residing across the Salish Sea.

Our Mission
Our mission is to help improve Indigenous wellbeing through art-making, community building, land restoration, and equitable creative opportunities for personal and professional growth. Our aim is to create a sacred space that uplifts Native peoples' creative sovereignty, and fosters authentic connections with our neighbors and the broader community.

Who We Serve
We are a Native-led nonprofit and our work takes place on open urban greenspace on Coast Salish Territories. Over the past seven years, we’ve supported more than 400 Indigenous artists of all ages across Coast Salish Territories, coming from urban, rural, and reservation communities in Washington, Oregon, British Columbia, and Alaska. We work to lift up the diversity of Indigenous populations by centering women, Two Spirit and LGBTQIA+ peoples, displaced urban Natives, and Indigenous peoples with mixed identities and heritages, who are often marginalized in Native movements.

First and foremost, we will center the artistic expression of Indigenous communities, particularly Coast Salish tribal members, whose territories we work on as grateful guests. Our aim is to create a sacred space that uplifts Native peoples' creative sovereignty, and fosters authentic connections with our neighbors and the broader community.
