Mission

The mission of the Friends of Shoreline Library is to support, promote and advocate for the Shoreline Library, a branch of the King County Library System.

Description

The Friends of the Shoreline Public Library enhance the services provided by the King County Library System by funding programs for all ages, as well as other activities at the Shoreline Library. Over the years, Friends have purchased reference books, amenities for staff, and art that enlivens the building. We purchased the scooter used by mobility-challenged patrons. Each year, Friends sponsor a variety of programs for children, youth and adults not funded by KCLS. Recently, we have been funding the first ever Spanish Story Time at the Shoreline Library for the Spanish-speaking families in the area. And, once again, we are sponsoring Free Comic Book Day on May 3, complete with special guests costumed as Star Wars characters. The organization is run entirely by volunteers. Please make a gift so that we can meet our goal of $1,000!
